NASCAR Racers

We went down to Algona this weekend and Aunt Michelle got us NASCAR outfits. I am Dale Jr. and Cameron is David Reutiman (aka the M&Ms car).

My School Projects from Last Week

I had two fun projects from last week.

First, we made a happy faces and sad faces on paper plates. You can turn it over and see the other face.

Then, we did pictures of our family. That's Ben in the 2nd from the left.

The Weaver Lake El WoodChuck Run

We had the WoodChuck run today at school. The classes all came out of school and we lined up to cross the parking lot.

We walked in a line. I waved earlier, but Daddy didn't have the camera ready.

Each class got instructions from their teacher. Mrs. Lucht showed us where to run.

And we ran...

And ran.

Sometimes, we ran with friends, like Brandon.

Other times, I ran alone.

In the end, we raised enough money to have Mr. Taylor, our principal, dye his hair.

Saturday Afternoon Football

Every Sautrday during half time of the Michigan game, we go outside and play our own game of football in the front yard. Here are some highlights.

Ben going deep for the pass.

Daddy handing off to Cameron.

Cameron taking the ball and powering up the middle.

Cameron celebrated his and Daddy's victory with one of our home grown tomatoes.

Rocket Boy, Super Why and The Light Saber Guys

It was a strange night on our driveway last night. Rocket Boy was there, so was Super Why. Eventually, they both went away and some Light Saber Guys showed up.

The Week in Kindergarten

I had a good week at kindergarten. We worked on more bus safety and practiced the letter S.

Here's what the week ahead looks like for me.

PS: The woodchuck run was postponed on Friday as we had really bad storms on Thursday night (we even spent about an hour in the basement). It is rescheduled for Monday, but it is also supposed to rain, so I'll let you all know how it goes.

My School Projects

This past week at Joyful Noise, we learned about colors and shapes. One day, we made rainbow stew!

We also did a lot of activities with shapes. In this picture, you can see that we matched shapes. I also made a shooting star out of a pentagon (top) and drew a bear paw in the square (far right).

Finally, we did a lot of worksheets and drew some freehand shapes, like the circle.

A Typical Week of Kindergarten

I thought you might like to see what a week in my kindergarten class is like. Here is the Kinder Calendar for the upcoming week.

Also, here is a recent color sheet that I did for our unit on bus safety.

Elmer the Elephant and Carmen's Dots

Today at school, we read the story of Elmer the Elephant and I got to make him.

We also made dot paintings, and I brought home both of mine and one of my friend Carmen's. We have Cameron, Conner and Carmen in our class. We also have Abby, Gabby and Tabi too.

My First Day of School

Today was my first day of preschool at Joyful Noise, where Ben went last year. It was much colder then when Ben started school last week, so I had to wear my coat and blue jeans for my first day pictures.

Here is a picture of me in my classroom. Many of my friends are in my class, including Tabi, my neighbor, and Karlie from down the street.

Here is the project that we worked on today. It is a kissing hand poem.

My First Day of Kindergarten

Today was my first day of kindergarten. Daddy took some pictures of me on the front porch. As usual, the sun was kind of in my eyes, so I couldn't really see all that well.

I was starting to get tired of him taking my picture so much.

Cameron also had to pull his usual move and see what was going on out front without him.

Finally, we settled on my back to the sun and Dad took these pictures.

In case you were wondering, the red stripes on my shirt are my big new back pack!

I had a great day at kindergarten and I even took the bus home. Mommy took these pictures of me (and my friend Jack) getting off the bus.

Ben
