Cameron's 7th Birthday

Today, I turned 7! I got a lot of neat presents, all of which Ainsley helped me open.

It was a great birthday!

Helping with the Neighbor's Chores

Today, Ms. Lori taught me how to seed bare spots in a lawn, so I helped her out.

Easter 2011

When we woke up on Easter morning, we found that the Easter bunny had left an egg hunt for us in the backyard.

Then we got all dressed up and went to church. After church, Daddy took these pictures of us.

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts

My daddy took me to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts today to see the Titian exhibit from the Royal Gallery of Scotland. While that was okay and all, I saw a lot more art that I really enjoyed.

Spring Break 2011: Days 4/5 - Relaxation and the Ride Home

We have very little to show for pictures for our last two days. We spent a lot of time on Thursday by the pool, at the arcade, taking naps, revisiting Downtown Disney and generally relaxing. There was a washer and dryer in our villa, so Mom and Dad did laundry and brought home 90% of the clothes clean!

Overall, our trip was a lot of fun. We took planes, buses, boats and did a lot of walking. We saw a lot of animals, both real and character, and went on a lot of rides. We shopped, we swan, we conquered.

Spring Break 2011: Day 3 - The Magic Kingdom, Pt. 2

Around 5pm that night, we woke up, dusted ourselves off and went back to the Kingdom for dinner and more fun. This time, we were able to visit Mickey.

We began the rotation again in Tomorrow Land, this time on the Tomorrow Land People Mover.

Following ice cream, the Hall of Presidents, dinner, Pirates of the Caribbean and another run at Buzz Light Year's Space Ranger Spin (this time won by Cameron), we went to watch Cinderella's Castle change colors, the Mainstreet Electrical Parade, the Magic, Memories and You (look for a photo of us!), and finally, the fireworks.

In the end, it was awesome.

Spring Break 2011: Day 3 - The Magic Kingdom, Pt. 1

On Wednesday, we got up early and hit the Magic Kingdom. We began like most people...

We then followed our normal route to Tomorrow Land, passing by the Minnie and Mickey topiaries.

Once in Tomorrow Land, we immediately hit Buzz LightYear's Space Ranger Spin. This time, Ben and Cameron demolished Dad, who didn't stand a chance.

Next up was Fantasy Land, where Mom and us kids tackled the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and It's a Small World. Normally, we would have gone into Mickey's Toon Town Fair, but it's being demolished to expand Fantasy Land.

Dad took us boys through the Haunted Mansion and then we were into Frontier Land and Liberty Square. We met a friend of Dad's from when he lived in Des Moines, 15 years ago, for lunch. It was nice to meet her and her daughter.

We then noticed that Ainsley was getting sleepy and the lines for rides were getting very, very long (50 minutes for Pirates of the Caribbean!), so we went back to our resort and took a nap!

Spring Break 2011: Day 2 - The Carousel

A part of our resort is called the Carousel. We went and walked around it and found this pretend carousel and took some pictures.

Spring Break 2011: Day 2 - Islands of Adventures / The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Since Ben and Cameron are so into Harry Potter, Mom and Dad decided to take us to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Islands of Adventure park. We went on Tuesday because it was supposed to rain and the park has been known to be incredibly crowded since the Wizarding World opened.

And rain it did. As you can see in the pictures, everyone had ponchos on.

Dad and Ben went on the main ride inside Hogwarts, we all got wands for a souvenir and then we had frozen butterbeer with an early lunch.

From there, Cameron and Dad went to see Poseidon's Journey and then met us in Seuss Landing.

Ainsley really enjoyed Suess Landing, as you might expect. It had a lot of rides for her to go on.

Back over on Super Hero Island, we had fun too and even got to see a bunch of super heroes!

The day at Islands of Adventure was a lot of fun.
