Sesame Street Live: Super Grover

Today, we went to see Sesame Street Live at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis. It was fun.

The title this year was "Super Grover." Grover was a super hero who didn't get enough sleep, eat good foods, take baths or exercise enough.

Fortunately, he had some friends who filled in as temporary super heroes until he got better. Our favorite was Elmo when he dressed up as a super hero.

Bath Time Photo Shoot

Tonight, Mommy and I were snuggling in the bathroom. Daddy took this picture of us (and then made it black and white to be artsy).

Here is one of me and Ben and Mommy.

Ben took this picture of Daddy, Mommy and I. I think he is a good photographer for a 4 year old.

Finally, here is a cute picture of me.

Ben's Hat

A favorite thing of mine to do is to grab my brother's hat before he can put it on and run around the house. Ha!

Me and My Daddy's Shoes

Here is a funny picture of me wearing Daddy's shoes.

PS: Today I jumped into the pool at swim lessons the way I was supposed to ("Finally!" Daddy says). I also climbed all the way to the top of the maze by myself and went down the curly slide.

My Ears, My Car and My Brother's Rescue Heroes

I went to the ear doctor today. It looks like I'll be getting tubes in my ears on February 9. Here is a picture of a car that I was really excited about, mostly because I don't know what Mommy and Daddy are talking about when it comes to my ears.

Later, I was crying because Daddy took the car away after I threw it in the kitcen. He took this picture of me. See the tear on my cheek?

Here I am making sure that everyone was still paying attention to me.

Daddy gave me one of Ben's Rescue Heroes to play with, so I was fine again.

2 X 2 = 4!

Tonight, for the first time, I was able to make a cookie masterpiece: a quadruple stuff Oreo. If you carefully take two double stuff Oreos apart and put the two frosting sides together, you have quadruple stuff!

Foam Necklaces

Continuing in the arts and crafts theme, here is a picture of me and my new necklace that I made today.

And here is a picture of Ben's new necklace.

Wait until you see the beads that we got last night at Joann's.

Drawing Before Breakfast

Here is a picture of me and my brother drawing pictures before breakfast this morning.

Here is a close up of me and my picture.

And here is a close up of Ben.

March of the Penguins

Is it a penguin from Antarctica in our house?

No, it's me with my class project from Thursday. We learned all about penguins in class and got to make this really neat one too.

Love,
Ben

PS: Here is a picture of the penguin and my star blanket that I took myself.

Cute Things I Am Doing Lately

Here is a cute picture of me. I stole my brother's hat and was wearing it around the house until he caught on and wanted it back.

Here are some other cute things that I have been doing lately:
- When I toot, I try to blame it on Daddy or one of my Grandpas.
- When I threw all of my animals out of my crib, I shrugged my shoulders when Mommy said she wouldn't put them back in.
- Today while I was in the nursery at church, I cried everytime I saw Mommy or Daddy, but when it came time to leave, I didn't want to go.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Day

It was cookie day at my school, so we made pretend chocolate chip cookies on a plate. The look really real! We also got to take a tour of the middle school cafeteria, where my preschool is, and have a cookie and milk at the end of the tour!

My New SweatSuit

Here is a picture of me in my new sweat suit. Everyone thought I looked really cool, except for me.

I guess I just didn't feel too good yesterday.

Dora's Playhouse

As you might recall, I got a Dora playhouse for Christmas from Santa. You get markers and everything to color on it (it is made of cardboard). This was the side that Ben colored.

This is the side that Daddy and I worked on (with Ben peeking out).

Here I am, hiding inside!

Here is my brother giving me a big hug!

Tubes in my Ears?

I had a doctor's appointment on Friday. While I don't have more ear infections, I do have a lot of fluid in my ears and I feel miserable. You can see that my nose is running if you look closely at this photo. I have to go see if the doctors think I need tubes in my ear in a few weeks. I will let you know how it goes.

Back to School - Jan 5 School Projects

I started back to school on Thursday. This was our primary project -- mittens!

I also drew these two pictures of snowmen using a stencil.

There's also a new boy in my class who's name is Benjamin. He is very nice.

Sledding Wounds

While I was down in Algona, Grandpa and I went sledding on the big hill at the cemetary. We fell off the sled on one run and I scrapped up my face. You can barely see my sledding wounds in this picture, as they healing very nicely.

I am a Big Boy Now

Yesterday, I came home from Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jayson's house and decided that if I could spend a few days away from my Mommy and Daddy, that I was a big boy and didn't need to sit in my high chair anymore.

My Mommy got the booster seat for me and I took over Ben's old chair. As you can see in this photo, he was not very happy about it.

Later, he gave me a 15 year lease on the chair, and he moved to the open spot at the table, so it all worked out in the end.
