Christmas Day 2006

As you can imagine, Christmas morning was pretty chaotic at our house. Here is an example of what the living room looked like:

We also got a lot of great presents. I got a racetrack from Santa and Cameron got a Cars The Movie game for his LeapPad. You can also see his kitchen in the photo above. We have made a lot of egg dishes and even some steaks. Below, you can see me in my space suit.

I am now entering the lunar module for our mission to Mars.

Happy Birthday, Jesus! Party

Today was our "Happy Birthday, Jesus!" party at Joyful Noise. Mommy came in to help out. Here I am decorating a cookie.

We also had story time.

And we had a gift exchange.

It was a lot of fun.

Storytime with Santa

We went to bedtime stories with Santa at the Borders in Arbor Lakes last night.

We both wore our cars PJs. Here is Ben.

Here I am.

Ben sat on Santa's lap, but I was afraid at the last minute and freaked out.

Lots of Christmas School Projects

Here is a big catch up of school projects from us from the past week. We were very busy.

First, we have the story of the candy cane that I made at Joyful Noise.

Then, from left to right, we have a decorative bead candy cane we made in school, a candy cane I made this morning out of pipe cleaners and a real candy cane.

Here is a gingerbread man that Cameron made at school yesterday.

Next is a manger scene that I made at Wednesday night church.

These last two pictures are of a gingerbread house I made on Wednesday at school. On the outside, it looks like a normal gingerbread house, but on the inside, there is a secret gingerbread boy.

Spending Time on the Potty

I am now going potty on the potty more and more often. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to get a book and have a seat.

Our Gingerbread House

This year, we made a gingerbread house. The roof fell off a few times, but we eventually got it to stay put with a little structural engineering.

My 5th Birthday Party with my Friends

I had my first "friends" birthday party yesterday at our house. I had seven friends from Sunday school or Joyful Noise over. It had a Cars theme.

Our first game was to play "Pin McQueen on Mack the Truck."

I didn't do so well.

Overall, my guests were pretty good at the game.

Then, after we all worked on our souvenir Cars frame craft, everybody lined up for a Lightening McQueen, Mater or Doc Hudson tattoo.

Everybody enjoyed their pizza and lemonade lunch...

Then we had some cake and ice cream...

And then we opened presents while we watched the movie. It was a lot of fun and I got a lot of nice presents.

My 5th Birthday

Monday was my birthday. We started the celebration on Sunday, while Grandma Diane and Grandpa Tommy were here.

I had lots of great presents.

Cameron got me Spencer, one of Thomas' engine friends.

I got a lot of fun stuff.

Cameron was feeling a bit left out, so he made Daddy take his picture.

After dinner, I had an awesome birthday ice cream cookie sandwich from Culvers.

It was delicious.

I blew all of my candles out!

PS: More birthday coverage to come soon!

Ben
