A Really Big Snowstorm

This past weekend, we had a really big snowstorm. We got 10 inches of snow and our power even went out for a little bit on Saturday night. Daddy had to go out and shovel the snow on Sunday morning.


We helped.





Then we played in the snow. First, we played with Buster, the doggie next door.


Then we went sledding. It was all good fun until Ben and Daddy went face first into a big snow bank and everyone got too cold to keep going.

A Week of Presidents

This week at school, we learned a lot about presidents, since it was President's Day last Monday. We learned about George Washington and we learned about Abe Lincoln.

A Trip to the Firestation

Last weekend, Grandma Diane and Grandpa Tommy visited and we all went to the fire station. First, we got to play on the fire engines.


Then, we listened to the firemen tell us important things are fire safety.

Potty Trained!

Good news! I am officially potty trained. I haven't had an "oops" in three weeks and I am now working on staying dry through the night.

A Valentine's Mailbox

Yesterday, Daddy and I went to Lowe's and built a valentine's mailbox. It was my first time going to Lowe's for projects like this, so I was really excited when I got to keep my safety goggles and apron. I also got this certificate that says that I built the mailbox.

A Visit to The Works

While Cameron and Daddy were painting cars, Mommy and I went on my school's second field trip to The Works, a science museum. We did all sorts of fun stuff and learned about pulleys and levers and then I built a car.

Yesterday at school, we made lots of cars projects. I made this series of three paintings by painting with cars dipped in paint and then driving them across the paper.



And then I painted this big, green car.

A Visit from the Dentist

We finally had the dentist (Jacob's mom) come to school on Wednesday. We made these funny mouths to celebrate. She taught us how to brush and gave us a whole set of stuff to help, like a new tooth brush, tooth paste, a two minute sand timer, sun glasses, floss and some of those funny pills that show you where you missed brushing.

Misson to Mars

This afternoon, we had an emergency mission to Mars. We were successfully able to make it to Mars and we were also able to find the mystery of the sounds (it's a Backyardigans thing).

A Tooth

We are learning about teeth in school this week, so I made this tooth.
