Our Little Video Recorders

One of the gifts that both of us got from Mom and Dad was a little video camera. Here is a picture that Dad took of us after watching the video from Cameron taping Ben feeding Ainsley.

Our (Late) 5 Month, 5 and 1/2 year and 8 year photos

We were all a bit late with our respective birthday/milestone shots, so here they all are.

5 months, 5 and 1/2 years and 8 years, all plus a pinch, respectively.

Here I am with my ginger bread house, seconds before we threw it away.

Toys from Santa

Santa was pretty good to us this year. He brought Ben a Nerf N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25, Cameron received a Build Your Own Clone Blaster, and Ainsley got a baby doll named Abby.

My First Christmas Eve

I really didn't know what to make of this Christmas business. A tree sprouted in our living room and then I had to get all dressed up (in tights!) and go to church. I knew something was up, so I decided to just go with it. I got some warm PJs on and was sucking on my binkey when people started shoving brightly colored objects at me.

After a while, I realized that the bright colors were paper that I could rip and eventually, put in my mouth.

But then I got these toy balls and man, are they fun.

As an aside, Dad took this neat, over exposed picture of the backyard after our stockings. You can see all of the snow has toppled one of the neighbors trees and you can also see how many lights all of the folks behind us usually have on at night!

The Weiner Household Christmas Picture(s)

It only took four takes, but here it is.... everyone is looking and almost everyone is smiling.

And yes, she won't say it, but Ainsley looks adorable.

Merry Christmas!

The Old Log Theater

Today, the whole 2nd grade at my school went to the Old Log Theater to see Hansel and Gretel. Dad came along as a chaperon for me and my classmate Herschel.

It was a great play!

My Gingerbread House

Last week in school, we made gingerbread houses. Dad came to pick me up from school so that it would make it home okay. Here it is from every angle. Give me a call if you'd like a personal tour.

Ringing the Bell

Yesterday, we went and rang the bell for the Salvation Army. Ben rang while Cameron passed out candy canes. We filled a kettle and were well on our way to a 2nd when it was time to leave.

A Visit with Santa

After a few attempts, we finally made it see Santa. This year, we ended up visiting with him at M&I Bank in Maple Grove. It was funny to see Santa there. Unfortunately, these are the best of the photos we got with him.

Ainsley hadn't been feeling well all week, and shortly after these two were snapped, she burst out into a ball of screaming tears.

Millions of Peaches, Peaches for Me

Today, I tried peaches for the first time. While it doesn't look like I like them in these pictures, eventually I understood what I was eating. This whole fruit thing is freakin' awesome!

A Visit from Our Cousins

Some of our cousins came to visit this weekend. Emmitt, Maisey and Hayden stayed with us for the weekend.

The boys spent a lot of time building LEGO creations.

We eventually built this tower.

The younger ladies mostly climbed on one another.

In the end, the Vikings won, so Emmitt was happy.

I got my bangs trimmed today, while Mommy and Daddy figure out what to do with my hair.

Dad is still working on the "AFTER" photo.

I got an early Christmas present today. My Grandma and Grandpa got me an exersaucer and my Daddy put it together for me to play in.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

As Ben mentioned earlier, Grandma and Grandpa Weiner came from Michigan for Thanksgiving and Ben's birthday. Here's a photo of all of us.

Ben's 8th Birthday

I turned 8 Friday and had a small party with my grandmas and grandpas. I got a bunch of great presents. Aunt Serena, Uncle Doug and the kids got me some mini-football helmets of the Big 12. They complement my Big 10 and Iowa State helmets nicely.

I also felt compelled to actually stop and read each card aloud.

Cameron was quite helpful (and excited).

Secret agents and spies are quite popular in our house, thanks to My Sims: Agents for the Wii. Here is CLUE: Secrets and Spies edition.

Aunty Jen may have taken the cake with the Darth Vader robotic arm!

After presents, we had a Michigan football cake that Grandma and Grandpa Reemtsma brought from Algona!

It was a great birthday!

Ben
