The Anywhere Chair

Perhaps you'll recall my anywhere chair from the weekend. Well, here's a picture of me and my big brother in it, as we were preparing for the Tigger Movie on Disney Channel Monday night. It turns out the anywhere chair is just right for two.

Furnishing My Room

Last night, Daddy and I went to Pottery Barn Kids and got me a table and chairs for my room with the money that Grandma and Grandpa W gave me. Here is a picture of me helping Daddy with this big box.

We finally got it all put together. Here's a picture of me coloring at the table.

And here's a picture of me in the Anywhere Chair that I suckered my Daddy into buying me.

Cleaning Up The Cook Books

Yesterday, we were looking for some good recipes and it turned into cleaning out the cookbook section. Naturally, I was a good helper to Mommy.

Painting the Bird Feeder

Yesterday morning, we all worked on painting and building a bird feeder for the birds in our backyard. Even Cameron got to paint!

Til I Was Blue in the Mouth...

Last week, we had some blue lollipops and my mouth turned really, reall blue. Isn't that funny?

A Trip to Culver's

Tonight, we had ice cream cookie sandwiches from Culvers. I was a messy eater, as usual.

At first, I was slightly embarrased and didn't want Daddy to take my picture.

Then I thought it might be funny to show all of you the results.

Like after I wiped the ice cream and cookie goo in my hair.

And when I made moose ears.

Anyhow, it was a good ice cream cookie sandwich.

A Visit From The Mussers

Some people that my Daddy used to go to grad school with were in town and they came over for dinner with their kids. Cameron and I had a fun time playing with them all. We played outside for a long time and then had a sundae bar. After that, we all played with my Geotrax trains. At the end of the night, we took this automatic picture of all of us.

Wind Mill Country

On the way home from the fair, we passed the area we always call "Wind Mill Country." This time, rather than zoom by on the freeway, Daddy decided to drive out to see them up close!

There are three big wind turbine areas. The one we visited was call the Top of Iowa wind farm.

PS: Here's a picture of my toes that I took while we were viewing the wind mills.

My First State Fair

As my brother said, we all headed to Des Moines when we left the waterpark / hotel. My brother, Mommy and Daddy and I were going to the state fair, and everyone else went home. When we got to the state fair day, it was raining!

Fortunately, we had a nice hotel room, so we all played on the bed with Mommy!

Then the rain finally stopped, so we were able to see the butter Tiger Woods...

And the butter cow...

And the butter barn.

Ben and Daddy pretended to be fancy ribbons, just like the ones that you can win for having a big pig or a big cow (which we also saw).

And then my tough guy brother got a cyclone tatoo (it's temporary) and I got a new cyclone hat to match his and my Daddy's.

We also got to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog at the Iowa Public TV booth.

And in the travel and tourism building, Ben got to go to the Loess Hills (the rest of us got blue traveliowa.org bracelets).

We went back to hotel after several hours of fun at the fair, where Daddy took this funny picture of me with my new hat on!

Then, on Friday morning, we got up and went home!

The Reemtsma Family Vacation 2005

After baby Nicholas was christened, we started our vacation in earnest at the Amana Colonies' Holiday Inn in Amana, Iowa. Here's a picture of my baby brother exploring the hotel. To start the trip, he stole our next door neighbor's phone (fortunately it was Uncle Doug and Aunt Serena).

Here's a picture that Daddy took of me on the playground out front of the hotel. It was lots of fun. Cameron played with rocks.

The next morning, we got up and went to see the Amana Colonies. In one of the Amana's (I forget which one), we went to see a barn museum. It had lots of little barns inside a big barn.

Here's a picture of all of us kids on the bench at the barn museum. I'm on the end.

Here's another funny picture of me and my brother, "horsing around."

And then in the next Amana down the line, here's a picture of my and my baby brother in a really, really big rocking chair. We couldn't trust him to sit still, so that's my Uncle Jayson's arm holding him in place.

Here's another one of the whole family.

Out in front of the broom shop, there was a tractor for us kids to climb on. Here's Cameron taking me for a ride in the tractor. He's a crazy driver.

Here he is again, slightly mellowed out.

After the tractor incident, we had a big lunch at a place where they just kept bringing us food! We also spent a lot of time at the water park in our hotel, Wasserbahn! It was a lot of fun.

Later than night, he turned into a T-rex while all of the kids were gathered in Grandma and Grandpa's room to watch a movie and all of the adults watched a different movie in the other room.

On Wednesday, we all headed to Des Moines....

Baby Nicholas' Christening

We left for the Reemtsma family vacation a day earlier than expected, so that we could attend our newest cousin Nicholas' christening. It was a lot of fun.

PS: That's him in the middle.

Pictures from a Long Time Ago

It's been so long since Dad took this photo, I don't even remember what I was eating, but it sure was funny.

Trains!

As you read yesterday, Ben got a new train set for being the ring bearer at Uncle Doug and Aunt Serena's wedding. Well, Aunt Michelle got me this neat little train set too.

Here is a picture of Ben's new train set. It goes with the trains that are currently filling our basement.

The best part is that Ben and I can play with both of our trains together.
