This weekend, my team played in a lacrosse tournament in White Bear Lake, MN. We had a pretty good day the first day, going 1 - 1 in our pool. In fact, the whole pool went 1-1, but we really beat the second team we played, so our goal differential was the highest. That put us in the championship game! Here are some highlights. Remember that I'm #11.
I also took a lot of face offs for my team.
Unfortunately, we were really beaten badly in the championship game. It didn't really matter much though - we were quite happy with our 2nd place trophy.
After the Sunday part of the tourney, we went to Culver's for lunch, where Dad took this picture of Ainsley.

The Sword of Darrow
I was part of a group of kids who read a book called the Sword of Darrow before it was published. I recently got to meet one of the authors, Hal Malchow, and get a commemorative t-shirt with the other young reviewers in the Twin Cities.

Running Through the Sprinkler
It was pretty warm yesterday, so Mommy and Daddy let us run through the sprinkler out back. It was fun!

Field Trip to Murphy's Landing
Our class went to Murphy's Landing yesterday to learn about how life in 1850 and 1889 was (there are two different villages there, each set in a different time). We rotated through a lot of different stations, like an old school, an old doctor's office, a typical house, and the train station. We did chores, we fed chickens, and even got to play with popular toys from the era. It was a lot of fun.
