"Trick Treat"

This was the first year that Ainsley could join us trick or treating for Halloween, and we had a great time!

Our pumpkins were a kitty, a (hard to photograph) bunny, and the Death Star.

Our costumes were Darth Vader, Rapunzel, and a space shuttle astronaut.

We did eventually convince Rapunzel to put her blackberry down.

A Karate-Filled, Halloween Preview

Here are pictures of me in my two costumes, Rapunzel and Tinkerbell. You'll also see some slight movement of my right leg, because Cameron has been teaching me karate kicks and I like to do them all of the time.

Which one am I going to wear for Halloween? "Both!"

Ainsley

We went trick or treating last night and it was a lot of fun. As you can see, we dressed up as Harry Potter, Darth Vader and Tinkerbell.

Halloween 2009

It was Ainsley's first Halloween, so it was only right that she was the first to get ready. Here she is, our little Cinderella.

Of course, she kept wanting to eat her dress.

And here she is with her tiara!

Imagine how frustrated Daddy was after this photo sequence!

At last we headed out to trick or treat. We got lots of candy, and Mommy and Ainsley passed out a lot here.

In the end, it was a Halloween worthy of a Jedi Knight!

Halloween 2008

This Halloween was the first in our new house. It was pretty fun for a lot of reasons.

First, we really liked our costumes. Ben was a clone trooper and Cameron went as your NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader and likely back to back to back champion, Jimmie Johnson.

Yes, Mom and Dad were slightly upset that they spent $40 on a Jedi costume for me to not use it. Perhaps we will have a new tradition of the Christmas Jedi.

Cameron, Ben and Dad went out and gather treats, while Mom passed on treats to trick or treaters. After an hour, Cameron went home to help Mom and Ben and Dad went back out. Here is Ben's haul (he had to count it for homework) -- 179 pieces. Mom and Cameron had 184 visitors.

After all of that, we went to our neighbors for a bonfire, complete with delicious, hot s'mores.

Byerly's Boo Blast 2008

Byerly's had their Boo Blast today. It was a lot of fun. Here is our picture. You'll note that Cameron decided to go as the NASCAR points leader Jimmie Johnson rather than a Jedi. He's saving that for Friday.

Halloween 2007

As mentioned here previously, we were NASCAR racers for Halloween. Ben was Dale Jr. and Cameron was David Gilliland, aka "The guy who drives the M&M's car." Here is a picture of us with our pumpkins.

Here is another picture of us.

And finally, here is an action shot of us making silly faces.

We had a great time trick or treating with our neighbors.

PS: No, we did not gain weight or grow fat rolls, we simply had multiple layers under our costumes to stay warm.

Ben and Cameron
