Kossuth County Fair

Mom took us to Algona for a week and we spent a lot of time at the Kossuth County Fair.  It was a lot of fun!

Hunting Eggs on the Farm

We went down to the Bierstedt ranch for Easter. We started the weekend by putting together the Skyward Summit, the latest contraption at Park Biesterdt. We paused to take a few pictures of the sun while it set.

On Saturday, we had an egg hunt. There were eggs everywhere.

Later in the day, Aunt Michelle sent the boys on a scavenger hunt.

While they hunted, the rest of us teeter-tottered...

Played with the cats...

Or watched the funny baby cows run around!

In the morning, we got up early and went to Easter church at 7am!

Down on The Farm

We were on the farm for our cousin's birthdays and we took a few pictures as the sun was setting.


You can always find a cat to pet on the farm!

A Week In Algona

Mommy took us to Algona for the week. We did lots of fun stuff, visit with our cousins...


Go to the Grotto in West Bend...





Play at the park...


Be in the Fair parade...



Win fish at the county fair...


And just generally hang out.

Ben's Fieldtrip: Oliver Kelly Farm

Today, my kindergarten class went to Oliver Kelly Farm to see how people farmed in the old days. Mommy chaperoned!


Here, a lady told us what things were like back then.


Then, we went outside.



I knew the answer!


It was a fun day at the farm!

Farmin'

On Saturday morning, I helped Papa Jim do the chores. He let me drive the tractor.


Then, I helped Uncle Jayson fix the pond (from the tractor).

JJ The Cow

We visited Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jayson last weekend for the Reemtsma family reunion and we got to meet JJ the Cow. She was a late comer to the farm.

I thought she was cute from a distance.


When we got closer, we were a little stand-offish at first.


Then, Papa Jim let Ben and I feed her.




After that, we were right up in the action with her.

Down to the Farm

We went down to the farm this weekend. While there weren't any cute pictures of us helping with chores or riding around on the four wheeler or getting pulled by the snowmobile on a sled or riding in the tractor, Daddy took these neat pictures while the sun was coming up today.
