Last week, we learned about GIANT things at school. You know, things like Goliath and mountains. Speaking of mountains, here is one that I made.
And this is a dinosaur's footprint, and then my footprint for comparison.
Finally, here is a big sailboat that I made and a small sailboat. See how the big one is bigger than the smaller one? That's what bigger means.

Science Experiments: What Dissolves in Water
We did a science experiment at home. We learned what dissolves in cold water and then in hot water. We also tested the Ph of all of our new concoctions.
Our results: Everything dissolved in water eventually, except pepper. Baking soda took a bit longer and a bit warmer water. Citric acid was an acid and baking soda was a base. Everything else had a neutral Ph.

Ben and Cameron

School Projects: Curious George and my Flying Carpet
Yesterday at school, I colored these Curious George pictures. I am getting much better at staying in the lines.
I also made a flying carpet, as we learned about Aladdin and his lamp (and his carpet).

Ben

Brandon's Birthday Party
Two weekends ago, I went to a friend's birthday party. In his thank you note, which I got yesterday, they sent a picture of all of the attendees. The color is a little washed out due to our scanner, but here it is.

My Class
Because the school calendar is a little weird here, my last class was yesterday. I get a week or two break from school, but then I'm right back at it, as all of my friends and I enrolled in the same class again.
Here is a picture of my class and my teachers.

After Ben busted his mouth open, I had Daddy take a picture of me with Oreo crumbs all over my face.

My Chin
I took it on the chin this weekend, when I missed the step in the living room and busted my lip/chin open. Here's what I looked like after all of the blood was cleaned up and I stopped crying.

School Project Catch Up
Even though it is only now the first full week of the year, we were quite busy at our respective schools with projects.
First is the Noah's ark I made today. We are learning about Noah and how he built the ark.
This is the starry, moonlit sky that I learned about last week.
And this is the teddy bear that I made on Friday when it was Wear Your PJs to school day.
Here is a mitten that Cameron made at school on Friday. He learned about all sorts of stuff for winter, like mittens and snowmen. One of these days, it will snow enough to make a snowman.

Ben

My Soccer Shorts
We went shopping this past weekend and I got some great, new, blue soccer shorts. Mamma and Daddy say they are too big, but I don't think so.
What do you think?
Then I tried on my new monster truck shirt and got Ben's Sir Topham Hatt hat out. Don't I look silly?
