Ringing the Bell - a Followup and a Thank You

We saw this in the news a few weeks ago: "The Twin Cities Salvation Army raised more than $9.2 million for its 2007 Christmas Campaign, a full $1.2 million above the original campaign goal of $8 million." We were pretty proud to do our (little) part of it all. Then, we got this nice letter in the mail today for when we rang the bell, and we were even prouder when we read what they were planning to use the money for.



There always seems to be a need, so if you have the opportunity to do so, please consider helping one of these programs:

Lots and lots of other programs

Groundhog Day 2008

We both learned a lot about Groundhog Day this year in school. First, we both made groundhogs.


Ben even had a little song about them.

Magic Show

Today at school, we had a magic show. It was really neat. The magician pulled a rabbit out of his hat, so we made the a rabbit and a hat as a project.

Happy New Year Hat and Face

Over the holidays, I had to made a Happy New Year hat. In school, we made faces for them and they hung in the hallway by our classroom. We got to bring them home today.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in school today. He was famous. He did a lot of things for our country, by reminding people how people should be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin. He got shot by a bad guy.

Today in school, we learned about things that live under the sea. Almost half of my class knew that the Little Mermaid lived under the sea. We made aquariums. Here is a picture of mine, with Ben.

Daddy helped me put together some of the LEGOs that I got for Christmas and I am now ready to run my own airline.
